2019 Rags in the Sky (Milano)

A friendly construction company, knowing my whims, offered me the chance to do a fast-paced setup, while they put in place a scaffolding to renovate a high-rise building.

To protect the street from falling debris, plastic canvas were slowly unfurled on three consecutive days.
Rather than immediately securing the canvas to the steel framework, they were allowed to freely flutter to wind gusts a few hours, each day. Then rolled down to a new height.

Unfortunately the wind was weaker than expected and the final effect far less memorable than I would have desired.
Next time, maybe, I will be more skilled and lucky.

2019 Stracci in cielo (Milano)

Un’impresa amica, che già conosceva le mie elucubrazioni, mi ha offerto la possibilità di realizzare in brevissimo tempo un nuovo progetto, sfruttando il montaggio di un’impalcatura sulla facciata di un edificio piuttosto alto.

Per proteggere la strada dal rischio di caduta di detriti, per tre giorni consecutivi lunghi teli di plastica sono stati progressivamente srotolati. Mi ero accordato affichè i teli non fossero fissati subito alla struttura in acciaio del ponteggio, lasciandoli per qualche ora fluttuare liberamente a seconda del raffiche di vento, per poi srotolarli a una nuova altezza.

Sfortunatamente il vento è stato più pigro del previsto e l’effetto finale decisamente meno memorabile di quanto avrei desiderato.
La prossima volta, forse, sarò più abile o fortunato.
