2013 Grids in Paris

During the construction of Frank Gehry’s project for the Fondation Louis Vuitton, I was allowed to propose some negligible variations in the temporal sequence of the works, provided they obviously did not impact the overall schedule.

This gave me the opportunity, albeit with a very narrow time window and in a relatively limited environment, to orchestrate a number of abstract compositions, through the superimposition of the grids formed by the structural carpentry with the uprights of the plasterboard walls, with the partially overlapping layers of insulating and finishing materials.

Nel corso della costruzione del progetto di Frank Gehry per la Fondation Louis Vuitton mi è stato concesso di proporre alcune trascurabili variazioni nella sequenza temporale delle lavorazioni, purché ovviamente non impattassero sul cronoprogramma complessivo.

Questo mi ha dato l’opportunità, sia pure con una finestra temporale ristrettissima e in un ambiente relativamente limitato, di orchestrare diverse composizioni astratte, attraverso la sovrapposizione delle griglie formate dalla carpenteria strutturale con i montanti dei muri in cartongesso, con gli strati parzialmente sovrapposti dei materiali coibentanti e di finitura.
