Museo di Storia Naturale

Le opere di pulitura e restauro delle facciate del Museo di Storia Naturale di Milano rappresentano una ghiotta occasione per trasformare per qualche mese un’architettura eclettica con tendenze neogotiche nella sagoma di un ampia ed alta cinta turrita.

Poche modifiche al progetto dei ponteggi protetti da teli sono sufficienti a scongiurare un volume anonimo, che risukterebbe fuori luogo in questo lussuoso quartiere storico, in un evocativo diafano fantasma di un tipico borgo medievale lombardo, che si staglia dietro i rami spogli dei castagni monumentali.

Natural History Museum

The cleaning and restoration works on the facades of the Museum of Natural History in Milan represent a wonderful opportunity to transform for a few months an eclectic architecture with neo-gothic tendencies in the shape of a wide and high turreted wall.

A few changes to the scaffolding project protected by sheets are enough to ward off a nondescript volume, that would be out of place in this plush historic district, in an evocative, diaphanous ghost of a typical Lombard medieval village, which stands out behind the bare branches of the surrounding monumental chestnut trees.
